UDID project is implemented since 2016. Officers of all states and union territories have been trained by the Department of Divyangjan to work on the UDID portal (www.swavlambancard.gov.in). Sufficient time has been given to the States and Union Territories to convert to online mode. With this it will be possible to give the certificate of disability in digital form. Disability can be checked through digital medium only. This work will be uniform in the whole country and there will be no delay in getting social benefits to the disabled.
